WELCOME to the new look web site. Thanks for bearing with us during the transition period — we hope the wait was worthwhile! All pages now have full functionality, though some exhibition dates have still to be added.
This 'new-look' is intended to improve access and take into account changes in internet technology.
As part of the redesign several new features have been added to the site, including a totally new Showstoppers' section with many previously unseen photographs, an online shop — the Railway Kiosk run in association with Amazon — and a new-look Book Reviews section.
The Showdates pages have been increased to 12 so that a whole year's events can be displayed, while the News and Clubscene pages will continue to keep visitors 'up-to-date'.
The basic aim remains the same...to provide the best and most comprehensive source of information and FREE downloadable on-line magazines for modellers whose primary interest is in recreating the British railways scene, from Pre-Grouping days to the present.
Publication of the Trains Online Magazine is not possible at the moment, but a new quarterly publication featuring book reviews will be launched later this year, so keep checking the site for details. Selected back issues of the magazine remain available.
As always, financing the site remains difficult, so supporting any of our advertisers, or purchasing your modelling needs via the Railway Kiosk, will go some way towards ensuring its success.
