Iron Mould Lane
Industrial scenes can often be found tucked away on model railways, but Bristol East MRC’s Iron Mould Lane is one of the few exhibition layouts that is devoted to the subject. As might be expected, it is not a neat, clean layout, and as a result successfully mirrors the organised jumble that makes up a steel works—warts, rust and all!
Recycling has more than one use in the industrial sense. Old scrap and second hand wagons and vans (as above) could often be found giving useful service moving materials around the plant.

The approaches to the blast furnace (faithfully reproduced on the layout) and the works loco shed demonstrate the art of weathering at its best.
An 0-6-0 industrial loco hauls two loaded wagons through the works. Again the weathering and fine detail is worthy of note.
