Ingleberry End

Ingleberry End is a  station at the end of a fictitious branch line somewhere in the Midlands and owes its continuing existence to a busy quarry just down the line. As the quarry faces Ingleberry End, trains are split and marshalled at the station before leaving the area, or entering the quarry. Stock on this 00-gauge layout, which is nominally LMS, reflects owner Reg Chapman’s personal taste. Consequently, models in other periods or styles he likes, may also be seen from time to time.

Making a visit to Ingleberry End is a former GWR railcar in BR Crimson and Cream livery, either having lost its way, or on a inter regional service!

Here a Hughes ‘Crab’ rests from its labours having recently arrived with a rake of LMS coaches. The buildings are built from card kits.

A view along the length of the layout shows the quarry traffic sidings with a rake of loaded wagons—LMS brake van at their rear—awaiting the next stage in its journey, while the Railcar having waited for its passengers prepares to depart.
