City Road (LT)

Tim Steven’s model City Road (LT) portrays part of a branch line built by the Metropolitan Railway in the late 1860s from its main line between Kings Cross and Farringdon en route to its terminus at City Road. The period of operation is 1960 and a variety of underground and surface stock is used. The layout is 22 feet long and was completed in three distinct stages from 1995 onwards.

London Transport trolley buses and the N2 in early BR livery give this view a distinct late 50s, early sixties feel.

Silver Underground stock is seen on the LT surface lines, while in the background can be seen an ex-GWR pannier tank locomotive in London Transport maroon livery. Meanwhile, below ground passengers patiently  wait for the next Tube train
