Charlotte Road

Charlotte Road is the P4 gauge creation of Wirral Finescale Modellers Tim Rogers and Tony Sissons and represents the Southern Region in the 1960s, though as can be seen by the pictures (taken at the Warley National Model Railway Exhibition in December 2004) not exclusively so.

A Maunsell Z Class 0-8-0 30955, more at home on shunting duties than the main line, makes it way slowly through Charlotte road with a rake of unfitted wagons.

A BR green liveried ‘Hymek’ diesel hydraulic (above and below) passes through Charlotte Road on a freight working from the Western Region. Note the out of period EWS liveried Class 33 lurking in the background.
